Beyond SAT & College
Taking the SATs are a critical starting point to your journey toward college. Preparing you for a successful journey is a core component to our program. You should know that there are seven essential parts to a college application:
- SAT - SAT II
- GPA (grade point average)
- Extra curricular accomplishments
- Personal essay
- Recommendations
- Admission interviews
Also essential to preparing for college is Kent’s CAP module of building character, developing aptitude, and fostering a passion to succeed. CAP is important in developing a unique sense of self that can lead you one step closer to attending the college of your dreams. We all know how important SAT scores are in the college application process, however, just as important to admission counselors is what distinguishes you from all the rest. If you can exhibit a distinctive personality, a faculty for learning quickly, and a desire to excel beyond the limits, then your dreams of attending the best school can, indeed, become a reality.
Now more than ever, U.S. colleges are focused on nurturing global leaders that are able to communicate with style and grace on the international stage. Proper etiquette is a distinguishable mark of leadership and refinement, both of which are characteristic to some of the most influential leaders around the world. The Kent Etiquette Experience prepares you to become a future global leader by emphasizing self-presentation and charisma. You will learn the importance of poise, confidence, savior-faire, and humility in social situations, all of which can help you throughout college and beyond. Integral to being a successful world leader is not simply about being highly educated, it is also about encompassing a positive attitude and having the ability to present yourself in a manner enriched with personality and dignity.
Develop your character as thoughtfully as you develop an academic prowess.
